Pulling into Pahokee Marina allowed us our first glimpse of the great Lake Okeechobee\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we also caught sight of this\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long\u2026 silver\u2026 Shining in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come to find out it has an amazing history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed by Louis I. Kahn in the 70\u2019s for  Maestro Robert Austin Boudreau who had a dream of bringing music to everyone. He would hire young musicians and they would tour the waterways of America, Caribbean and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s 195 ft long and has a stage that opens. People would bring lawn chairs and set up by the dock and enjoy an evening of music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
